Saturday, we drove with Dad across the border, hoping that the wire payment would go through for the breeder, Robyn.
We stopped at a cute breakfast place mid-day, then got to Lumby for some wine tastings.
Saturday morning, we got to Robyn's, met Toph, and put her in the airline carrier in the back. She vomited, which we only discovered at the top of a pass, with no bathroom or running water except the snowmelt on the side of the road.
We cleaned her up, made it over the border, and got home for Mother's Day dinner with Mom - she made a really good acorn squash bake.
Monday was time to fly - Dad and I dropped Mark off at the airport, then walked all over the hill next to the cell phone lot to tire out Toph. In the crate she went, and she and I took off. The flight attendant even gave me a little slip right as we were leaving, confirming she was on the plane.
It took quite a while for them to get her off the plane - Mark circled until past midnight, when Toph finally got out of her crate, soaked in pee.
And now, there's a puppy.
